Silver
Silver is a chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol "Ag" and the atomic number 47. A soft, white, lustrous transition metal, silver has the highest electrical and thermal conductivity of any metal and is found in mineral deposits and in free form.
§ Slag heaps found in Asia Minor indicate that silver has been known about for a long time, and that it was being separated from lead as early as the fourth millennium BC.
